At the foot of the Sierra Nevada, between the Darro and Genil rivers, we find Granada, one of the most interesting cities in Eastern Andalusia. The impressive Andalusian legacy is combined with architectural jewels of the Renaissance and the most modern facilities of the 21st century.

Granada is music, poetry, pure monumental art and millenary culture. It's a centre for tourism, due to its monuments and the proximity of the Sierra Nevada ski resort, as well as the historical area known as La Alpujarra and also the part of the Mediterranean known as the Costa Granadina.

Of it's historic buildings, the Alhambra is one of the most important monuments, declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1984, along with the Generalife Garden and the Albaicín. The fact that Granada was the last city to be reconquered by the Catholic Monarchs in 1492 gives it an unmistakable Moorish flavour. Its gastronomy, crafts and urbanism are determined by its glorious historical past.

On a visit to Granada, we recommend you see: the Alhambra, the Palace of Carlos V and Generalife, the Cathedral and Royal Chapel, the Albaicín, the Sacromonte Abbey, the Carmen de los Mártires, the Montalegre Monastery, the Corral del Carbón , the Basilica of the Virgen de las Angustias, the Science Park, the Archaeological Museum, the Manuel de Falla House-Museum and the Federico García Lorca House-Museum.
